LADY GAGA AND ELTON JOHN JOIN FORCESIt appears two performers known for their over-the-top antics are joining forces for a killer collaboration. EW.com reported that Lady Gaga and Elton John recently recorded a song titled “Hello Hello” for the upcoming animated Disney movie, Gnomeo and Juliet. This is not the first time the two have collaborated—Gaga and John shared the spotlight at this year’s Grammy Awards where they performed a duet of Gaga’s “Pokerface” and “Speechless,” as well as John’s “Your Song.”
The oversized-glasses-donning legend has been quite vocal about his admiration for Lady Gaga. I’d love to [work with her] in the future,” John told EW. “There’s a chance I might do one track with her [for Born This Way], but it’s just, she’s so busy, and I’m so busy, we can never get together!”
John—who is a producer on the film, which hits theaters on February 11, 2011—co-wrote the movie’s soundtrack with composer James Newton Howard. While John has helped pen songs for movies in the past, this will mark Lady Gaga’s first foray into the movie soundtrack universe. We’re guessing not the last.
