100 per cent: The 2-0 win over Inter Milan made
it four wins out of four but Mourinho is only concerned with beating
Hull City on the opening day.
Opener: The Tigers travel to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, August 18.
'What would it mean to win this tournament? To be fair, not a lot,' said Mourinho.
'It's
four wins from four in pre-season, but we have zero points. The match
we have to win is the match against Hull City. But even in friendlies
it's better to win than lose and finally we've played against a good
team because our opponents in Asia were not so strong.'
The
Portuguese has also admitted skipper John Terry was lucky to escape
serious injury after a sickening tackle by Hugo Campagnaro left the
defender writhing in pain on the ground.
Horror: Hugo Campagnaro (centre) and Inter
team-mates protest to the referee after a horror tackle that almost left
John Terry seriously injured.
Impressive: Oscar scored an excellent opener as Chelsea cruised to victory.
Campagnaro was sent off for the
challenge, and Mourinho added: 'The red card is a red card, the referee
did well. The rules are the rules, but I would have preferred the
referee to send him off and let Inter bring another player on because it
would be better but that's not the rules.
'The
red card changed the game completely. It was not good for Inter because
they play with 10 men and not good for us because we play against 10.
We deserved the victory, but that was not the most important thing, the
most important thing is the evolution of the team.'
From the spot: Hazard converted a penalty just before the half hour mark.
