Silva, 25, signed for City from Valencia last summer for £26 million and has excelled at the club since the switch, in particular this season catching the eye with a string of impressive performances.
Such has been the quality of Silva's displays, the player having orchestrated City's 6-1 win over rivals Manchester United last weekend, that rumour has suggested Spain's big two, Real and Barca, could target the playmaker.
However, Silva was quoted by The Sun as saying: "City believed in me and I'm very well here. Real Madrid and Barcelona are definitely two great clubs, but I hope to stay in Manchester for many years."
