T.I APATA NAFUU YA KIFUNGO AFUTIWA KOSA MOJA MOJA KUANZA KUTUMIKIA KIFUNGO CHA KOSA LINGINE NOVEMBER MOSI

Today has some good news and some bad news for T.I. Los Angeles prosecutors have decided not to file a felony drug charge against the rapper following his arrest last month, however federal authorities ordered him to report to a federal prison in Arkansas by November 1 to begin serving his 11-month sentence.

T.I. was arrested in LA on September 1 after authorities found four ecstasy pills in his possession. The arrest occurred while the rapper was on probation following his release from prison earlier this year, where he had been serving 10 months for a federal weapons charge. The terms of his probation stated that he could not commit another federal, state or local crime, or be in possession of an illegal substance—which is why he’s headed back behind bars.

According to Billboard, LA’s deputy district attorney elected not to file the drug charge because it was a small amount of drugs and T.I. already is returning to prison. T.I.’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, told Billboard, “The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office’s decision to reject TI’s case was the right thing to do under the circumstances,” commending the office for “exercising its discretion to reject prosecution in light of the legal and factual issues involved.”

T.I. will report to the Forrest City low-security prison in Arkansas next week—the same prison where he served parts of his prior sentence. He is expected to serve 11 months.
