On April 22 2013, Manchester United won the Premier League. On
April 22 2014, David Moyes was sacked as manager after less than a
season in charge.
Now we’re not saying Moyes was completely responsible for all of these things, but here are 22 of the most disappointing things which have happened since he took over at Old Trafford:
1. It’s the first time Man City and Liverpool have done the double over United in Premier League.
2. It’s the first United have ever lost to Swansea at home.
3. The Undertaker lost his historic undefeated Wrestlemania record of 21-0.
4. United are guaranteed their lowest ever Premier League points tally.
5. United suffer their first home defeat to Newcastle since 1972.
6. Brian the dog was killed (ish) from Family Guy.
7. United went down to their first home defeat to West Brom since 1978.
8. Ben Affleck was cast as Batman.
9. United posted their worst home form in ten years.
10. United lost home and away to Everton for the first time since 1969/70.
11. Breaking Bad finished forever.
12. This is the first time Liverpool and Everton have done the double over United.
13. Flappy Bird was pulled from downloads.
14. First time United have lost three in a row since 2001.
15. Miley Cyrus killed twerking.
16. United fail to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 1995.
17. Lionel Messi became really, really sad.
18. United were eliminated in the FA Cup third round – something which happened just once under Sir Alex Ferguson.
19. United suffer first league defeat to Stoke since 1984.
20. Leonardo Di Caprio was denied an Oscar.
21. It was the first time United conceded a first-minute goal in the Premier League – Edin Dzeko for City.
22. Cheryl Cole ruined her lovely bum
