Another day, another milestone for Cristiano Ronaldo…
The Real Madrid superstar has now apparently scored in every minute
of a match, with his 17th-minute penalty opener in last night’s 2-0 Copa
Del Rey victory over local rivals Atletico completing the Portuguese’s
card.
Unfortunately, the Metro Stats Department is preparing for another
hectic night of counting Manchester United’s crosses and is too busy to
verify all this information.
However, no one has disputed the statistic so far, while various
graphic memorials to the ‘feat’ have been doing the rounds online – with
this one, from @TSBible, our favourite…
Ron’s opponents take note: Aside from the 45th and 90th minutes
(which are usually always longer than 60 seconds because of added time,
of course) Ronaldo has found the net most often (ten times) in the 23rd
minute of each half… cue five Getafe players marking CR7 in the 23rd and
68th minutes on Sunday.
