 Cristiano Ronaldo has competition for star billing at Real Madrid after the arrival of Gareth Bale and the Portuguese superstar is sure not to take it lying down.

However, judging by these pictures it would seem his girlfriend Irina Shayk has no problem reclining on bales... of hay.

The 27-year-old is promoting the new winter line of a Spanish shoe brand and looks totally at ease in the photos.

Ronaldo is currently on international duty with Portugal ahead of the Euro 2015 qualifying match against Northern Ireland and the star has been warned he is in for for some tough treatment in Belfast.

Northern Ireland coach Michael O'Neill intend to adopt the same approach his team used when they put a dampener on Ronaldo's 100th Portugal appearance, in Porto last October, claiming a point.

'If I'm being 100 per cent honest, I don't want it to be the beautiful game. If it is, we'll be giving them the chance to excel,' he said.

'The Ronaldos of this world would love it to be an open game with space to exploit, but we don't intend obliging.

They are a very gifted bunch of individuals, so it is important that, from the word go, they have a difficult night.

'We played some outstanding football against Russia, but also showed you can be physical within the boundaries of the game.

'That's what we must do against Portugal. The pressure is on them, because after the points they have lost on the road in recent group games, they can't afford to drop any more.'
